HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF FUND

Hurricane Relief Fund helps:

  • Restore Lost Revenue. We cancelled all groups in October & November 2024, with projected income of over $115k.
  • Both the Christmount conference center and the 90+ private homeowners who live in the neighborhood.
  • Restore water services to Christmount and the 90+ families who live here.
  • Rebuild roads and bridges. We had 10 roads damaged in the storm and 6 bridges washed away. Our roads are considered private roads and will likely not qualify for state / federal funding for repairs.
  • Cover what insurance won't. At this time, our insurance company is only willing to send $10k for "Food Spoilage." All other issues are being classified as "flood-related" and are therefore not covered.
  • Cover what FEMA won't. We do not know what they will cover, but we have been informed that FEMA typically caps assistance at 75% of the actual costs.
  • Cover unexpected recovery costs. We are still securing estimates, but repairs are already close to $2million at this point.
