"Building Community for All"

Christmount is replacing several structures to ensure that we continue to be a destination for all.

The cost of upkeep and maintenance of old buildings grows each year, and to remain sustainable would require elaborate renovations to bring the buildings up to modern standards.

It has been determined that replacement of these structures is a necessity in meeting our

objective of supporting year-round programming and the anticipated growth in attendees

and retreat rentals in the coming years.

Your donation makes a difference.

The Challenge

We are acutely aware of the physical needs of our campus. We have identified several core areas that will accomplish the upgrades needed to allow us to offer year-round programming. We believe in the people who love Christmount, and feel strongly that now is the time to act. In replacing outdated buildings, we will expand programming as well as event revenue to ensure Christmount’s sustainability while broadening our outreach to the communities we serve.

Phase One of the Campaign will directly impact our participants of Camp Lakey Gap - participants with autism - and Sunshine Retreats - for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The overnight participants in these adapted camping programs currently stay in the Group Lodge which offers bunkbeds in four bedrooms.  The new Residential Lodge will have some multi-person rooms as well as some individual rooms, making it more conducive to meet the varying needs of our campers. The new Residential Lodge will also be ADA compliant and will include amenities such as LED (not fluorescent) lighting.

Give Now to the Campaign!

The Opportunity

The needs are as follows:

PHASE I:

  1. Residential Lodge - $2,735,000 - replacing the old building (Davis Hall) with a new residential lodge will greatly enhance our Adapted Programs (Camp Lakey Gap for participants with autism, and Sunshine Retreats for adults with intellectual disabilities), as well as accommodate groups year-round.
  2. Aldridge Hall - $200,000 - meeting space renovation to include an expanded food prep area, radiant heat, indoor restrooms, new lighting, and new barn doors.
  3. Guest House renovations - $125,000 - completion of room renovations, installation of two EV (electric vehicle) charging stations, and the addition of solar panels.

PHASE II:

  1. New Fellowship Hall - $2,635,000
